Here are 6 delicious options that are as simple as they are nutritious.

Greek Yogurt Parfait

I’m not sure that it gets much easier than this! By combining some high protein greek yogurt with some fruit and granola, you have a delicious high-protein, fiber-rich breakfast!

Something to keep in mind—If you’re looking to keep your sugar intake low, opt for plain greek yogurt. If the plain version is a bit too tart for your liking, try adding a bit of honey rather than using a flavored yogurt. By adding your own sweetener, you have more control over how much sugar your yogurt contains. Some of the flavored yogurts out there can get pretty high in sugar!

Also, if you’re adding store bought granola, be mindful of how much you’re adding since some granolas can also be a bit high in sugar.

Don’t overthink it or stress out about it. These are just things to be mindful of, so find your happy medium, and enjoy your breakfast!

Grilled Breakfast Wrap

While this takes a bit more time than the greek yogurt parfait, it’s not by much! You can get this made in a matter of 10 minutes, and it’s packed with the protein, fiber, vitamins and minerals you need to start your day!

This breakfast can easily be make ahead of time as to save even more time in the morning!

Avocado Toast

Ahhh, Avocado Toast. A breakfast, lunch, or dinner for the new age. There are versions of this scattered across menus all over the place, and for good reason!

Avocado toast is a great source of fiber, healthy fats, anti-oxidants, and a variety of vitamins and minerals. If you add an egg to your toast, you’ll add a punch of protein, as well!

Feel free to experiment with your avocado toast by adding different veggies, seasonings, cheeses, and sauces. Make it your own in whatever way suits you!

Easy Scrambled Mug Eggs

On a busy morning, I loooove making a quick batch of scrambled mug eggs! You can add your eggs atop a piece of toast, cook your eggs for your grilled breakfast burrito in a mug, or you can eat the scrambled eggs straight out of the mug after cooking!

This is easily one of my favorite go-to’s for breakfast for myself and my kids. The eggs turn out fluffy and delicious, just as good as cooking them on the stovetop (in my opinion, that is).

**Be sure to use a microwave-safe mug or dish. Also, be careful when taking the mug or dish out of the microwave as it will be hot and could potentially burn you, if you’re not careful. Using a hot pad is highly recommended.

Overnight Oats

While it’s true that making hot oats on the stovetop isn’t extremely time-consuming, the ease of making overnight oats is just so much better, for me!

The options one has for overnight oats is vast, and you can truly make this recipe your own. Some of my favorite add-ins to use are:

  • Cinnamon

  • Cocoa powder

  • Berries

  • Peanut Butter

  • A dab of honey

The possibilities really are endless!

I highly recommend using steel cut oats, as they do not get as mushy as regular oats. But you choose what works for you!

While this is breakfast is a bit similar to our Greek Yogurt Parfait, there is some important differences. For instance, this recipe contains yogurt, but yogurt on it’s own isn’t used as the base. This parfait is a pretty quick and easy breakfast, however, it does make more of a mess because of the use of a blender! Even still, this is a great healthy go-to breakfast option for busy mornings!

As with all of these recipes, please feel free to make it your own! Experiment with different fruits and veggies. Try adding peanut or almond butter, or other delicious flavors!
